Remodeling this kitchen was going to be the top priority for these new West End homeowners until they encountered a series of unfortunate events that required immediate attention, including a back yard with major drainage concerns. When we met them, the family had taken care of the structural and plumbing problems, and was ready for the fun stuff. They could hardly wait to get rid of their builder’s grade cabinets and to finally create a kitchen they could love. Maple Silk Raised Panel cabinets became the foundation for the new look, and plenty of glass in the uppers lightened up the space and added visual interest. We designed an island that allows the family to sit in the center of the kitchen facing one another, and a peninsula for additional food prep space. The refrigerator and wall oven are surrounded by cabinets, and the space is now highly functional and totally gorgeous. The stunning outcome, they said, was well worth the wait!
